Powered Ground Board
The POWERED ground board option (you might say an “option on the option”) allows you to PLUG INTO the ground board with your external battery and not have to worry about cables getting tangled up as it rotates! Cable/Plug (included) plugs into the base.
This option includes a switch panel that has the following:
> 2 jacks with switch for (normally) the ServoCAT and DSC
> 2 jacks for accessories (fan/heater)
> Internal resettable fusing
> High frequency noise abatement components

AC Power Supply
We offer an AC power supply in an enclosure - runs off of 100 - 264VAC 50/60Hz and is capable of up to ~ 4.5A at 12V out. Powerful enough to run the ServoCAT and DSC and fan... a larger unit - rated 12V at 6.5A is available for those that want to power most everything. It is equipped with a female (jack) 12V auto receptacle and an ac fused cord.

CATtail: Equipment Stalk
The new CATtail system provides for convenient installation of your DSC on your dobsonian telescope! Pictured below it is installed in minutes using a screwdriver (sorry - there are a few small holes that are covered after installation). Once the blocks are in place (they are permanent and no they do not interfere with wheel barrow handle installations) you have room for any DSC (including the new Argo Navis) as well as the ServoCAT handpad or a small index sized notepad. The system is available in two flavors: TheStalk with cabling includes routed cables for your DSC encoders, DSC serial, DSC external power, and ServoCAT handpad. Connectors at the base of the stalk allow easy quick installation and removal - no more cable hassles - no lengthy teardown times. TheStalk is also available without the cabling system installed. Both versions include as an added feature teflon side pads to “hold” your mirror box from moving side to side in the rocker thus improving your DSC’s accuracy!

Protection Board (for encoders)
Encoders can and do fail in the field! Static and physical damage can put them out - shutting you down! The Protection Board offers "insurance" that you'll keep on going into the early morning. It includes full static protection for the encoders as well as the serial line, resetable fusing for the DSC power as well as a connection for the handpad. This board is now standard with our CATtail Stalk and can be bought for encoder only protection.

Wireless 232
Now enjoy using your ServoCAT with a Laptop without the hassle of wires in between or having to invent the "table" for the scope. The new Wireless232 will connect your PC planetarium program to the ServoCAT seamlessly! Nothing to setup - just plug it in and use it! Digital communications at 2.4Ghz make it possible. Interference to other similar units - not possible as each one seeks its own channel (up to 76 possible). Range is > 500' outside and > 150' through walls. Comes complete with AC adapters for both units (one for the ServoCAT end, one for the PC end). Will also run off of 12V. One 12V power cord (ServoCAT end) is provided as well. Uses the standard supplied. ServoCAT PC adapter to plug in.
